West Palm Beach (WPTV) — Police say a deadly shooting in West Palm Beach Tuesday morning started with a fight over a dog.

The shooting happened at 1620 Presidential Way.

Police said two men got into a dispute over a dog that was not on a leash. One of the men fatally shot the other, according to police.

“I heard a real loud sound, sounded like a shotgun blast,” said Evo Munoz, who works in the area. “Then I seen 10 minutes later, a bunch of officers running down through the plaza.”

Investigators said the shooter is cooperating with investigators.

“People are getting shot every day,” said Munoz. “It’s like an epidemic going on. It needs to stop.”

Anyone with information is asked to call the West Palm Beach Police Department at 561-822-1900.
