WHITEFISH (KPAX TV) — Whitefish Mountain Resort closed several chairlifts due to extreme weather conditions for the second day in a row on Monday.
According to their Facebook page, the mountain only had three lifts open Sunday due to high winds and below-freezing temperatures. Chairs 1, 4, 5, 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11 were closed and chairs 2, 3 and 6 were open with special pricing on lift tickets.
On Monday morning, 2, 3, 6, 9 and the Big Easy Carpet were open. However, uphill access was closed and kids programs were canceled.
