Fire rescue delayed due to buried hydrants in the snow

    Greendale, AZ (WTMJ) — The Greendale Fire Department ran out of water while responding to a chimney fire Thursday.

Firefighters received a 911 call at 1:22 p.m. for the chimney fire on Greenmeadow Ln. Once they arrived, they saw smoke spewing from the rear of the home.

They began working to put out the fire when they ran out of water due to a delay in getting a water supply from fire hydrants buried in the snow.

The fire was under control withing 30 minutes. There were no injuries.
