Choctaw, OK (KOAT) — A woman was arrested overnight after police said she critically injured her husband by hitting him with her vehicle at a Choctaw home.

Around 11:20 p.m. Monday, police were called to a home in the 3300 block of Elizabeth Street about a possible hit-and-run, according to a news release. Officers found Troy Dale Shrader, 39, in the garage after he had been hit and pinned between a parked vehicle and another vehicle driven by his wife.

The wife, identified as 39-year-old Jennifer Brooke Pearce, had driven home and rammed her vehicle into another car parked in the driveway, police said. Shrader then went outside, which is when police said Pearce hit him with her vehicle.

Police are working to determine if Pearce hit Shrader intentionally, the news release stated.

Shrader was taken to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Police said they believe Pearce was intoxicated at the time of the incident, and a search warrant was obtained to draw a blood sample for testing. She was arrested on complaints of assault with a dangerous weapon and causing a serious injury accident while intoxicated.
