Collier County, FL (WFTX) — Florida Highway Patrol is looking for two carjackers who posed as police officers to steal a car on Alligator Alley this weekend.

It happened near mile marker 56 in Interstate 75 around 10:22 p.m.

Troopers say the suspects were driving a white pickup truck with flashing red and blue lights on Alligator Alley on Saturday night and used a loud speaker to pull someone over.

They told the man to give them his driver’s license and lay down on the grass shoulder. When he did, one of the carjackers stole his car and his cohort drove off in the truck.

The victim and a passenger were left stranded along I-75.

The suspects are described as two Hispanic men wearing camouflage jackets.
