Story Mill Community Park on track to open by end of year

Posted: Updated:

The Trust for Public Land said in a press release it has raised $11.76 million for the Campaign for Story Mill Community Park and that the park will be open by the end of the year.

The Trust surpassed its fundraising goal with support from more than 450 individual donors, local businesses, and foundations to match the City of Bozeman’s $4.5 million investment from the voter-approved Parks & Trails bond measure.

“From neighbors, to local businesses, to our philanthropic leaders, the vision for creating a ‘Central Park’ for Bozeman has inspired incredible generosity,” said Molly Pickall, Director of Philanthropy for The Trust for Public Land’s local Northern Rockies office. “This park is truly being built by and for the Bozeman community.”

Local contractor Langlas and Associates started the Story Mill Community Park construction process in April. The funds raised will allow construction to continue through most of 2018, according to The Trust for Public Land. The Trust says the park will be open by winter.
