BIA takes lead in case of missing North Dakota woman

Posted: Updated:

The Bureau of Indian Affairs in North Dakota has taken the lead in the investigation into the disappearance of Olivia Lone Bear.

Lone Bear has been missing since October 2017. She's a mother of 5.

The Lone Bear Family says they decided to have the BIA take the lead on the investigation because they have better resources, better investigative skills, and work well with the family.

The case was previously investigated by the three affiliated tribe's tribal police department on the Fort Berthold reservation.

The Lone Bear family is still leading the ground search, canvassing the Baaken cities.

The family asks if you have any information regarding this case, to please call them directly at 701-595-3114.
