TSA PreCheck enrollment to begin at Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport

Posted: Updated:

BOZEMAN - The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has open enrollment for TSA PreCheck at Bozeman-Yellowstone International Airport starting next Monday.

If you are a frequent flier, enrolling in TSA PreCheck could save you a lot of time getting through the screening process.

TSA PreCheck allows trusted travelers to leave on their shoes, light outerwear and belt.

During peak travel times at Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport, passengers can also keep their laptop in its case and keep travel-size liquids and gels in their carry-on bag.

“Obviously, the lines are individual to the day and the airport, but generally we see probably a 50 to 75 percent decrease in time getting up to the checkpoint. Obviously, if there is no line at the slower periods of the day, it's going to be less, but when the lines are long it makes a big difference,” said Airport Director Brian Sprenger.

Travelers who want to enjoy the benefits of TSA PreCheck on a consistent basis are encouraged to enroll in the program either online or in person at Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport on the second floor.

After you get conditionally approved if you enroll online, you still have to have an in-person interview and get your fingerprints.
