Another brutal cold morning across Montana especially for Northern and Eastern counties with lows between -25° to -40° and wind chills were extremely cold with reported "feels like" temperatures between -40° to -60° in the NE corner of Montana.
Strong Arctic High pressure sitting over central Canada is dumping bitterly cold air across the continental U.S. as far west as Idaho extending into the central and eastern half of the country. This pattern will be slow to change this week for most of the U.S.
In SW Montana morning lows dropped between -5° to -15° and it's been very slow to warm up this afternoon despite abundant sunshine. One more night of below zero lows are likely for most of SW Montana.
