Authorities have released the name of a man who died in a single-vehicle crash near Fort Benton.

Joshua Alexander Heggen, 26, died in the Sunday crash Sunday on U.S. Highway 87 near mile marker 44.

The Montana Highway Patrol said at around 9:20 p.m. an extended cab pickup truck was entering the highway on the northbound shoulder.

Heggen over-corrected and entered the southbound shoulder, and the vehicle rolled.

Road conditions were dry at the time. The patrol does not yet know if speed or alcohol were factors.
