From Conflict to Connection: Event to celebrate art, intention

Posted: Updated:

BOZEMAN - An art opening and reception showing the work of local artists exploring the theme “From Conflict to Connection” will be held Friday, Nov. 10, from 6-9 p.m. at Pilgrim Church, 21118 S. 3rd in Bozeman.

The event will continue Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 11-12 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Artist Collette Brooks-Hops said art, poetry, refreshments, a creative outlet and a social gathering will be featured.

“About 17 of us have been meeting once a month for the last 14 years for what we call ‘Process Studio,’” said Brooks-Hops. “Using the power of our intentions, we begin by gathering our supplies, "making marks" and trusting Creative Source to reveal images that have a message for us. We work in silence and intense focus.  We then personally dialogue with our images, asking what each has to say. When we gather once again in a circle our shared insights, reflect the changes taking place in their own lives and on Planet Earth. 12 of us are exhibiting our works for this second event. Our first exhibit was in 2015 "In The Crosshairs: Bringing Life into Focus.” and Pilgrim Church will be transformed into a fine art gallery space.”
