2017 Election results for Gallatin County

Voters in Southwest Montana went to the polls Tuesday to elect public servants.

Polls closed at 8 p.m. and the votes continue to be counted. Here’s a look at area races:

Voters weighed in on Tuesday and Chris Mehl will be Bozeman’s next mayor.

In the race for Bozeman’s city commission, voters selected Terry Cunningham and I-Ho Pomeroy to seats.

In Belgrade, Russell C. Nelson will claim the mayor’s role, while voters tabbed Kenneth Smith, Ward 1 and Brad Cooper, Ward 3 as new councilmembers. Kristine Menicucci will represent Ward 2.

In Three Forks, Steven B. Hamilton will serve as mayor.

In Manhattan, Glen Clements won the write-in mayoral race. Gregory A. W. Schack and Daniel R. Ryan will serve as council members.

West Yellowstone voters selected three councilmembers. They are Jerry Johnson, Bradley Schmier, and Chris Burke.

Brian LaMeres - 2,784 (32%)

Chris Mehl - 5,974 (68%)

Doug Chandler - 2,999 (18%)

Terry Cunningham - 5,070 (31%)

I-Ho Pomeroy - 3,758 (23%)

    A small fire was quickly knocked down Tuesday afternoon at the US Post Office on Baxter Lane in Bozeman. The fire in a storage room was reportedly sparked by a small lawn tractor used for snow removal.
