Voters urged to drop off ballots for election day, too late to mail

Posted: Updated:

BOZEMAN - The municipal general election is less than a week away, and the city has only received 15% of its ballots back from registered Bozeman city voters.

The election administrator, Charlotte Mills, tells us that it is too late to mail the ballots in at this point.

“The post office is doing some herculean effort to try and retrieve ballots for us to make sure we get them all, but people could just stop and drop your ballots off at our office," Mills said. "But the one thing I worry about is everybody is waiting until election day to drop their ballots off, and by doing that our election return will be really late that night."

You can drop off your ballots on Monday from 8 a.m.-5 p.m., or Tuesday from 7 a.m.-8 p.m. at the old courthouse on Main Street in downtown Bozeman. Election night ends Tuesday, Nov. 7.
