Bozeman businesswoman recognized for innovation, savvy

Posted: Updated:

BOZEMAN - A Bozeman businesswoman won a $20,000 check for coming in second place in the nation last week in the US Small Business Administration’s Innovate Her competition.

The Innovate Her competition started as a nationwide search for businesses that have a high impact on women and families. Out of 150 Innovate Her competitors, there were only 10 finalists in the Washington, DC, where Jessica Dehn, the owner of Dino Drop In, came in second.

“It’s extremely exciting,” said Dehn. “I was really excited to compete against all of the other businesses, but then you walk into a room of women innovators who are all changing the world in their own way. It’s very humbling to be a part of that. For me personally, it’s just very exciting to be counted among all the successful businesswomen who were in that room. To be considered an innovator in an industry that is not always considered innovative is pretty exciting.”
