Old Missoula parking meters again up for sale

MISSOULA - The Missoula Downtown Foundation has made more than $26,000  from selling retired parking meters.

The money made is going towards improvements in the downtown area. 

The meters were removed in 2015 and many people have been interested in buying a part of Missoula history.

There are 120 double-head meters left to sell and this will be the last chance to purchase one. they are running at $175 a peice or two meters for $100.

"The Missoula Downtown Foundation is working really hard to help keep our downtown as vibrant and wonderful as everybody thinks it is and this project helps support that," said Karen Snow with the Missoula Downtown Foundation.

If you re interested in purchasing a piece of Missoula history, you can visit the Missoula Downtown Foundation's office anytime within the next two weeks.

    A small fire was quickly knocked down Tuesday afternoon at the US Post Office on Baxter Lane in Bozeman. The fire in a storage room was reportedly sparked by a small lawn tractor used for snow removal.
