White nationalist group's posters removed from MSU campus

Posted: Updated:

BOZEMAN - A white nationalist group recently spread posters and stickers around the Montana State University campus.

According to an Oct. 1 post to the group's Twitter page, called Identity Evropa, advertisements for the group were posted around different parts of the campus.

The posters, which have since been removed from the MSU campus, read 'Our Generation, Our Future, Our Last Chance.'

MSU spokesman Michael Becker said that the campus only allows for public posting on bulletins, and police were notified to remove the signs from locations where posting of any type is not allowed.

Becker stressed that MSU promotes free speech, and had a message for students who may feel threatened by the messages of others.

"The University greatly respects the right to free speech," Becker said. "We do have the policy that says where people can post things and we have public bulletin boards for those."

"If a person feels individually threatened by these postings, they should contact the authorities," he said.
