Excited for eclipse, Bozeman gears up on glasses

Posted: Updated:

Lots of locals are really fired up for Monday's solar eclipse, as evidenced by the huge turnout at KBZK’s eclipse glasses giveaway on Thursday morning.

KBZK meteorologists Mike Heard and Matt Elwell handed out 300 pairs at the Museum of the Rockies and ran out in just a couple of minutes.

People began lining up around 8 a.m., waiting two hours before the distribution began at 10 a.m. By 10:15 a.m., all of the glasses were gone.
