Pacific Cold Front Coming Sunday

Posted: Updated:

A new pacific storm will roll over the pacific NW and enter Montana late Sunday. Ahead of this storm temperatures will climb into the upper 80s and a few lower 90s Saturday. Surface winds could increase and with humidity lowering producing fire weather concerns late Saturday into Sunday.

Once the pacific storm enters western Montana Sunday evening look for increasing showers and thunderstorms. Some storms could be strong and there is even a chance a few could turn severe. Thunderstorms should bring brief heavy rain but there will also be increasing lightning and possible new fire starts.

I am hoping a SW flow aloft could help improve air quality late weekend into early next week but improvements will be short lived as the pattern will settle back down by Tuesday next week and wildfire smoke could roll back into SW Montana.

Watch the above video forecast for updates on the weekend forecast as I walk you through the next storm hour by hour and impacts it will bring to SW Montana.
