Bozeman remembers: Memorial held for Danielle Heninger

Posted: Updated:
BOZEMAN -

A memorial was held at Lindley Park Thursday afternoon for Danielle Heninger, the woman who was killed last month in a murder suicide.

Cars and people flooded Lindley Park, as friends and family joined in a ceremony to share memories, and celebrate Danielle's life.

The ceremony was followed by a reception, where pictures, flowers, and paper cranes helped those close to Danielle remember the life she led.

Danielle's impact on Bozeman spread far and wide, and even those who have never met her came out to show their support.

"I never even had the opportunity to meet Dani, but I'm here to support the close friends of mine who were close friends with her and support her family and kids in any way that I can do that," said Bozeman resident Crystal Flemming.

Friends of Danielle most admired her zest for life.

"[We want her to be remembered] as a good mother, a lover of the community, and I think that what we love most about Bozeman is the way we feel about it, and the energy that's here, and that's what [Danielle] brought with her life, and her passion for the outdoors, animals and her friends," said Price, a friend of Danielle.

"She loved her children, that was her biggest accomplishment in life, and she's going to be greatly missed," she said.

And Erica, another close friend of Danielle added that there just aren't enough words to describe the mother of three: "[She will be] extremely missed, it's really hard to sum her up in just a few words, she was an amazing person, amazing."

Sayings were spread around the reception as well, including one that reminded Danielle's family and friends, how she would want them to carry on. It read: "Danielle would want us all to remain hopeful, and to spread kindness."

A Danielle Heninger Memorial Fund has been set up for her family, and you can make donations at any First Security Bank location.
