A man appeared in Justice Court Wednesday morning on two felony charges.
Shawn Arrants, 31, faces two felony charges, including assault with a weapon and strangulation of a partner or family member.
The incident occurred on Aug. 2, when police were called to a Three Forks residence.
A woman later accused Arrants of strangling her and threatening her with an assault rifle.
This is not Arrants first time in court, as he was charged with felony negligent vehicular assault back in 2006.
