Support fund set up for Heninger children

BOZEMAN -

To help the Heninger children, who were home when both of their parents were killed a support fund has been set up at First Security Bank.

The account is called the Heninger Memorial Fund and donations can be made at any First Security Bank location.

The fund was set up through the bank rather than through gofundme to avoid having the fees the website charges.

The donations raised will go towards funeral costs, as well as other needs the three children have as they move forward from this tragedy.

“You're taking children and putting them in the care of other family members who may not be prepared to necessarily to all the sudden have a full-time child with them, instead of being a grandparent or whatever,” said Sgt. Travis Munter of the Bozeman Police Department. “So, I think anything that can help them out is going to be appreciated."

There are three First Security Bank locations in Bozeman, additional locations in Belgrade, Three Forks, West Yellowstone and Big Sky.
