Gallatin County Superintendent resigns

Posted: Updated:
BOZEMAN -

County commissioners are looking for a new superintendent for the Gallatin County Schools.

Current Superintendent Laura Axtman submitted her letter of resignation on July 12th, stating that she is making a professional move that will benefit both her career in education and her family. She was elected in 2014, so now commissioners are looking for an interim superintendent to finish out the term which will end in 2018.

"We'll take names and resumes from people around the county and we will select out of that pool." said County Commissioner, Don Seifert.

The county will begin accepting applications next week. You can find the application on their website.
