Benjamin Fern Tesseneer, 19, passed away Saturday, June 24, 2017, as the result of a fall while snowboarding in the Beartooth Mountains.  Ben was born on December 12, 1997, in Bozeman, Montana, to Jim and Lisa (Bice) Tesseneer.

Ben graduated with honors from Bozeman Senior High School in 2016 and had just completed his first year at Montana State University.

Ben had a contagious smile, was full of life, and was very passionate about anything he was into: trail running, hiking, snowboarding, mountains, camping, motocross that he loved doing with his dad, making music, tying flies, pole vaulting, friends, fishing, woodworking, monopoly, skateboarding, yo-yos, and carpet skates.  He loved family get-togethers, spending time with his friends, and going to Journey Church.

Ben was kind to everyone and loved his sister.

Ben enjoyed participating in the Huffing for Stuffing run that he ran with his mom for the past five years, and the Sweet Pea run he ran with his sister.  He was looking forward to running his first Bridger Ridge Run this August.

He is survived by his parents, Jim and Lisa Tesseneer; sister, Malea; and maternal grandparents, Jim and Dee Bice; as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins.  He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Steve and Joyce Tesseneer; and his uncle, John Tesseneer.

Memorial services will be held Friday, July 7, at 11:00 a.m. at Journey Church.

Arrangements are in the care of Dokken-Nelson Funeral Service.  www.dokkennelson.com
