UPDATE: Gallatin County Sheriff Brian Gootkin says there are conflicting reports whether the woman has died at this time. KBZK was told by officials that the woman had died, but those sources now say she may still be alive.
A child that fell into the Gallatin River while rafting Sunday was rescued by his father, who had to be med flighted after the rescue. At approximately 6 p.m. a man reported to law enforcement that he saw a boy, around five years old, floating by himself down the river.
Benjamin Fern Tesseneer, 19, from Bozeman, died from his injuries after falling some 2,000 feet in the Beartooth Mountains on Saturday.
At a press conference Monday morning, Gallatin County Sheriff Brian Gootkin confirmed that the woman who was attacked by dogs on Saturday has been declared brain dead.
