Travel Impact Forecast For SW Montana Tonight

This on demand video forecast focuses on area mountain passes Wednesday afternoon.

Homestake pass on I-90 continues to be the worst with jack knifed semi this morning closing eastbound lanes and as of 1 pm this afternoon the eastbound lanes continue to be closed.

This storm will continue to produce snow through tonight into early Thursday morning. Mountain passes will experience periods of moderate to heavy wet snow reducing visibility down to 1 mile or less at times. Snow covered and slushy roads are likely and as temperature dip below freezing icing on mountain passes is also likely overnight.

Winter Storm Warnings and Winter Weather Advisories continue for SW Montana through Thursday morning.

    Benjamin Fern Tesseneer, 19, from Bozeman, died from his injuries after falling some 2,000 feet in the Beartooth Mountains on Saturday.

    Gallatin County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a man accused of a sexual assault in Four Corners. Arturo Valerio Gonzalez reportedly fled from the Four Corners Town Pump where the assault was reported at approximately 3 a.m. Monday.
