Obituary: Phyllis Lynn Geldof

Phyllis Lynn Geldof, 74, passed away May 1, 2017, in Bozeman, MT.  She was born October 1, 1942, to Benjamin and Henrietta (Dykman) Grinwis in Muskegon, MI.  She later lived in Spokane, WA, and Bozeman, MT, where she graduated from Manhattan Christian High School and Montana State University.

She worked at Montana State University in Native American Studies, the Water Resource Center, and the Department of Education from which she retired.  Phyllis was a respected member of the AA community for over 40 years as a student, mentor and teacher.  She loved spending time with her children and was adored by her grandchildren.

Phyllis is survived by her mother, Henrietta Grinwis; children, Dana and Jeff; grandchildren, Jacob, Emily, and Alyssa; and brothers, Don and Dale Grinwis.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, May 13 from 1 to 3 p.m. at Bridger Peaks Village Club Room, 1483 N. 15th Ave.  Private family interment will take place at Churchill Cemetery.

Arrangements are in the care of Dokken-Nelson Funeral Service.

    Saturday evening update on I-15 CLOSURE between Boulder and Clancy… Montana Department of Transportation reports that a single lane of I-15 has re-opened for South bound only traffic. Unfortunately, Northbound traffic is still completely CLOSED as of Saturday evening and you will need to find an alternate route.
