Obituary: Jeffrey James Lohss

Jeffrey James Lohss, 54, of Whitehall, Montana passed away April 23, 2017.

Jeff was born June 20, 1962 in Danville, Indiana to Daniel and Joyce (Frank) Lohss.  He grew up living in four major cities in the United States and Toronto.  He attended college at Ball State, VCU, and MSU for a short time.  He spent 20 years living in Bozeman, and the last seven in Whitehall.

Jeff had been a Pre-Load Supervisor with UPS and was scheduled for his early retirement in July, just ten days after his upcoming 55th birthday.  In total, he worked 29 years with UPS.

He enjoyed Indy and Nascar racing, four-wheeling, and dirt bike riding.  He and his wife, Lisa, worked in Big Sky for 15 years, where he loved skiing.

Jeff was very proud of his sobriety in the last 27 days.

Jeff is survived by his wife, Lisa Witzel-Lohss; parents, Daniel and Joyce Lohss of Bozeman, MT; sister, Sherri (Jeff) Cantrell of Montpelier, VA; brothers, Michael (Sandy) Lohss of St. Louis, MO, Christopher (Sharon) Lohss, and Scott (Lisa) Lohss, all of Bozeman; and six nieces, nine nephews, two great-nieces, and one great-nephew.

No services are planned at this time.
