National park visitors contribute millions to Montana economy

A new report released today by Secretary of Interior Ryan Zinke shows national park visitors contributed more than $500 million to Montana's economy last year.  

In 2016 National Park visitors spent  $547.8 million up from $478.3 million in 2015.  

The largest chunk of money was spent on hotels, followed by restaurants.  Park visitation is also responsible for 9,500 jobs in Montana last year.

Nationwide 331 million park visitors spent an estimated $18.4 billion.  View the report here
