BOZEMAN -

A Bozeman motel built in 1959, could be demolished at the end of this summer.

The city planning department received a proposal to tear down the City Center Inn by the owner, Bozeman Exchange Associates.

According to planning documents, the vacant City Center Inn has been experiencing break-ins, and the owner has received multiple calls from the Bozeman Police about graffiti.

If the permit is approved, the motel on Main Street would be demolished within 75 days after the permit is issued.

The space will be used as a parking lot until further development occurs on the spot.

Bozeman Exchange Associates, which is part of Bennett Hospitality, operates a few motels in Bozeman including Homewood Suites.
