Obituary: Vagier Bartle

Vangier Bartle passed away November 27, 2016.  She was born February 13, 1926, near Raleigh, North Carolina to Millard “Ralph” and Maggie Coats.  She grew up and received her schooling in Chester, Virginia.  She was employed by DuPont during the war.

She married Herbert “Pete” Bartle on August 1, 1947, in Richmond, VA and they lived in the Chester, VA area until he retired in 1986.  The couple moved to Bozeman, MT in 1986 to be closer to their grandchildren.  Pete passed away in 1991.

She enjoyed her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, gardening, and quilting.

She is survived by one son, Herbert Bartle, Jr. and his wife, Nadine, of Bozeman; one brother, Oaker Coats and one sister, Betsy Monroe, both of Virginia; two grandsons, Bert (Leslie) Bartle and Nathan (Brittany) Bartle and two great-granddaughters, Brooklyn and Elizabeth Bartle, all of Bozeman; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her spouse, and one sister, Iva Tunstall of Virginia.

Private family services will be held Thursday, December 1, 2016.  Interment will be at Sunset Hills Cemetery.
