Doug Attebury, born June 2, 1956, to Earl and Sarah “Sally” Attebury, passed away on November 25, 2016.
Doug loved the peace and quiet of the mountains, hiking mountain peaks and glassing hillsides for wildlife. It was his little piece of heaven. Having worked for the Livingston and Bozeman Forest Service Ranger Districts, he has left his footprints throughout Paradise Valley and the Gallatin Canyon. He is soaring with the eagles throughout the Big Sky Country.
Doug is survived by his wife, Kathy; his daughter, Stephanie (Shawn) Syverson; and his son, Daniel. He was so proud of us and our accomplishments. He is also survived by his mother, Sally; brother, Jim (Deb); sisters, Ruth (Russ) and Susan; Kathy’s 12 siblings and their spouses; and many nieces and nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Earl, and brother, Robert.
His memories will live on through his family and friends; his upbringing in Texas; summers at his uncle’s ranch in Ellicott, Colorado; and his adventures in Montana since 1978.
Cremation has taken place and private family services will be held at a later date.
Arrangements are in the care of Dokken-Nelson Funeral Service. www.dokkennelson.com
