Want to live in a gorgeous Rocky Mountain college town consistently ranked among the best places in the country? KBZK-TV, Bozeman Montana, is looking for a General Assignment reporter.
Do you want the chance to tell exciting, visual stories about back country skiing, Yellowstone Park wildlife research, and fighting wildfires? Do you also have the skills to make stories about traffic congestion or affordable housing just as interesting? If you want the chance to do more than routine stories and want to take your skills to the next level, then this is your opportunity.
We only have one or two people on our staff at any one time who are new to the business. They are in an enviable position. They work with the kind of senior staff you just don’t find in small markets. Learn from and work with pros who anchored and reported for major networks or in top markets.
We expect you to be good right out of the gate because you can’t afford to be overshadowed by reporters and anchors with years of experience. But we will work with you constantly to up your game. Improve at live, shooting, writing, editing, online and social media.
Then, take a day to downhill ski at top ranked Big Sky, mountain bike on the Continental Divide, fly fish on the top trout rivers in the country or tour Yellowstone National Park.
This is a great gig, but it’s not easy to get. Show us your stuff.
Send resume, references and a link to your reel:
