Obituary: Shari Phelps Froelich

Shari Phelps Froelich, born June 6, 1961, passed away Saturday, October 31, 2015.  She is survived by her husband, Rob Froelich; her four daughters, Rachel, Holly, Brook and Kelly, all of Bozeman; her sister, Meryl Reese of Virginia; and her brother, Reuben Phelps of Missouri; as well as numerous family members from out of state.

Shari grew up in Virginia and attended Ferrum College.  She graduated from East Carolina University with an Art and Education degree.  She also worked as a counselor for at-risk children in several camps in Florida and Virginia.  Shari taught skiing for 10 years in Vail, Colorado, where she also worked in the hospitality industry and the Vail school system.  Shari enjoyed creating art and was an avid photographer as well.

Shari battled pancreatic cancer for over 17 years.  She was devoted to her family, and enjoyed hiking and outdoor activities when she was able. She was a very patient, compassionate and a caring friend to all.  She will be greatly missed.

Memorial services will be held Thursday, November 5 at 3:00 p.m. at Dokken-Nelson Sunset Chapel.
