Obituary: Mary Diane "Dee" George

Mary Diane (Dee) George of Bozeman, MT died Aug 26, 2015 at her home.

Dee was born June 23, 1936 in Devils Lake, ND to Mary Ina Knukoop, moving to Miles City, MT with her family when she was 12.

Dee attended Sacred Heart grade and high school in Miles City, graduating in 1954.

Dee was very active in her high school; she was Class Secretary, Class Vice President ,and reporter for the school paper. Dee also played basketball, softball, and was a cheerleader.

Upon graduation she attended electronic/teletype/ticker tape school in Omaha, NE.

She married her high school sweetheart, Tom George from Terry, MT, and together they had seven children and 52 wonderful years together.

Dee worked at Montana State University for many years and retired from the History and Philosophy Department.

She is survived by her children, Tom, Diane, Bob (Suzanne), Kathy (Jerry) Brownstein, Cindy (Pat) Pelteir, Michelle, and David; her brother, Gary; her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Dee was preceded in death by her mom and husband, Tom.

Visitation will be held Saturday, Sept 5 at Dokken-Nelson Funeral Service from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. with funeral services to follow at 11:00 A.M. at Dokken-Nelson.  Interment will take place in Miles City at a later date.

    KALISPELL - The search continues for a missing skier in the Flathead valley. Flathead County Sheriff Chuck Curry has identified the skier as Dr. Jonathan Scott Torgerson, 62, from Columbia Falls.
