Obituary: Adam David "Dave" Arnold

Posted: Updated:

Adam David “Dave” Arnold lost his courageous battle to cancer August 11, 2015, peacefully at home with his loving wife, Niccole, by his side.

Dave was born October 1, 1964, in Duncan, OK, to John and Barbara (Harper) Arnold. He was the youngest of four and the only son. Dave graduated in 1982 from Frenship High School in Wolfforth, TX, and enrolled in the Army in 1983. He received a diploma in drafting from American Community College. He also worked for the Army as a civilian worker for several years following his discharge from active duty. Dave’s first son, Spencer, was born in 1987 and he couldn’t have been more excited.  He showed up at the hospital in a clown costume and made a visit to the children’s burn unit to brighten their day.

In 1994 Dave met and married Kim Eckberg in Brokenbow, OK. They had two sons together, Colton and Caleb, and made their home together near Livingston, MT. When they divorced, Dave moved west to Belgrade and eventually settled on a lovely ranch that has become known as the “Arnold Farm for Wayward Animals.” Dave met his best friend and soul mate, Niccole, and the two were married in a surprise Halloween ceremony on October 27, 2007.

Dave truly was exceptional at everything he did. He was a horseman, flooring installer, artisan craftsman, bull rider, bareback rider, entrepreneur, buyer/seller and cowboy. At the time of Dave’s diagnosis, Dave was a shipping broker with Elite Logistics and enjoyed working with the Westervelt’s. Dave loved life and lived it to the fullest. He and Niccole loved to ride their Harleys and did any chance the weather would allow.

Dave will be greatly missed by his wife, Niccole; his sons, Spencer, Colton, Caleb and Tyler; his daughter, Olivia; his sisters, Karen, Melanie, Barbara; his grandsons, Dylan and Jude; Aunt Mary, Aunt Pat; in-laws, Randy and Carol Lesh, Rich Clough, Mary Sexton, Ernie and Brenda Eckberg; numerous cousins and countless friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, September 13 at Yellowstone Harley Davidson.
