Janette Greydanus, Col. USAF (Ret), 91, of Manhattan, went home to heaven on August 16, 2015.

She was born September 30, 1923.  After graduating from Manhattan schools, she attended and graduated from the Bozeman Deaconess School of Nursing.  Janette worked in hospitals in Montana, Washington, and Alaska before joining the USAF Nurse Corp in 1951.  She served in hospitals state-side and overseas.  One year she spent as a Flight Nurse in the air evacuation of the wounded GIs from Korea to Japan.  All services were involved in sending the wounded home.  She considered it a privilege to serve her country and all people.

Janette retired after 20 years in the service.  She returned to Montana to care for family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Arie and Tjitskjen Greydanus; sister, Gertrude; and brothers, Samuel, Herman, and Arie.

Surviving are her brothers, Arthur of Lolo, MT, and Mark (Judy) of Pony, MT; sister-in-law, Catherine Greydanus of Manhattan; and many nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Park Haven and Rocky Mountain Hospice for their loving and diligent care.
