Bozeman fundraiser raises thousands for Nepal earthquake survivors

Posted: Updated:
BOZEMAN -

Bozeman residents are stepping up to help survivors of the earthquake in Nepal.

There was hardly a parking space in sight at the Community Café today in Bozeman where one fundraiser was held this afternoon.

Iho Pomeroy and the HRDC served up meals from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm to raise money for those struck by the earthquake.

All proceeds will go to the Alex Lowe Charitable Foundation to help mitigate the losses from the tragedy.

Volunteers started prepping food at 9:00 am and Pomeroy says the crowd poured in to support the cause.

“Lots and lots and lots of people. It was packed. Packed packed packed,” I-Ho's Korean Grill owner Iho Pomeroy said.

Pomeroy says $7,379.17 was raised during the event.

Another fundraiser was held at Wild Joe's Coffee Spot from 4:00 to 7:00 pm.

Folks could enjoy live music for a $10.00 donation with proceeds going to MSU and the Alex Lowe Charitable Foundation.
