UPDATE: The fire burning in Pine Creek in Paradise Valley has grown to 2,500 acres. According to the Park COunty Sheriff's Office, the fire started around 2pm Wednesday afternoon on Roach Juan Road South of Pine Creek. High Winds and low humidity fueled the fire which quickly spread into the nearby timber. About 70 residences have been evacuated, with others put on alert. Evacuess are being sent to the Livingston Civic Center.
So far a few minor burns have been reported. At least one house destroyed and many structures are threatened.
Officials confirm to our Judy Slate tonight on the scene at the Pine Creek fire in the Paradise Valley that the fire was started at a construction site.
The fire spread to a house, and two people were burned and suffered minor injuries.
It then spread to a brush fire.
