BOZEMAN - A man in his 40's is in the hospital after he was struck by a vehicle while trying to cross Huffine Lane Friday morning.
The accident happened just before 8 a.m. east of the light at Four Corners.
Montana Highway Patrol trooper Derek Stoner said there was heavy traffic and the driver of the red pickup did not see the man crossing until it was too late.
The pickup struck the man and bystanders cared for him until emergency crews arrived on the scene.
He was then transported to Bozeman Deaconess for his injuries.
Stoner says he was conscious and talking at the time but his current condition is unknown.
MHP says there is no reason to believe the driver was under the influence or speeding. The accident is still under investigation.
