Time is running short to donate new and unwrapped toys for the toys for tots program, and this year your help is needed more than ever.
"Worst year we've ever had. Usually the tables are full, the shelves are full, it's been the slowest year that I've seen out of the 12 years I've been doing it," says Bob Metcalf, local chair for Toys for Tots.
Metcalf adds that though donations are extremely low, demand is at a record high. The most needed gifts are those for teenagers, and infants. Cash donations are also welcome.
You can drop off donations at the Party On store, just east of the College and Main street intersection across the street from the mall. These gifts will be distributed starting with local military families on December 16th.
