LIVINGSTON - A Billings man was injured over the weekend while snowmobiling in Park County.
On Saturday, Yellowstone National Park dispatch notified Livingston 911 dispatch at approximately 4:27 p.m. of a snowmobile crash by the crossroads on Lu Lu Pass.
Authorities say a 68-year-old man from Billings struck a tree while riding a snowmobile and suffered face and possible back injuries. The snowmobiler was taken to the hospital in Cody, Wyoming.
Park County Search and Rescue, Cooke City EMS, Yellowstone National Park, and Forest Service personnel responded. In a press release, Park County Sheriff M. Allan Lutes asked those enjoying the outdoors of Park County to be careful and pay attention to their surroundings.
