The Star-Ledger newspaper in New Jersey reports that Gov. Chris Christie has stopped the multi-billion dollar Hudson River commuter train tunnel projet.
Bozeman's Barnard Construction and Judlau had won the bid for hundreds of millions of dollars for part of the project that would connect more of New Jersey with midtown Manhattan.
Supporters said it would bring thousands of jobs to build and even more after it was done and help commuters, but the governor said it was a bad economic time to do it and costs could over run the estimates by billions of dollars.
Opponents said it did not connect to important stations, like Penn or the city's east side.
