Students at Whittier Elementary School spent Earth Day learning about the world's most precious resource - water.

The Bozeman-based Project Wet Foundation facilitates water-related education programs around the world. On Thursday, the Whittier students separated into grade levels for hands-on programs

"Water is everything to us, water is life, so we are here at Whittier School today to try to educate these kids and raise their awareness about the importance of water both to their bodies and to the environment as well as how to take care of it, how not to pollute it," said John Etgen with Project Wet.

Project Wet programs have reached five million children over the last two years in Sub Saharan Africa alone.
