Muslim Student Association hosts 4th annual Fast-a-Thon at MSU

For the 4th year, the Muslim Student Association at Montana State University will host a Fast-A-Thon. Designed to benefit the food bank and raise faith awareness, the event will take place January 17th. Those who want to participate can fast for one day, sunrise to sunset on the 17th.

It is recommended that you donate the amount of money you would normally spend on food during that day to the food bank, though no donation is necessary. The Muslim Student Association has several tables around campus collecting food and donations for the food bank.

At 5 pm Thursday night, M.S.A. will host a community meal in the SUB Ballroom on campus, celebrating the day of fasting, along with presentations from Muslim students and the Gallatin Valley Food Bank. In the past, the event has had several hundred participants, and donations to the food bank has reached into the thousands of dollars.
