Bobcat forward Bobby Howard is the recipient of the first Finny Award, an award that has been named for former MSU basketball star and Dillon/Montana Western coach Craig Finberg, who passed away in March 2009 after battling pancreatic cancer.

Howard spoke about what the award means to him, an award in the memory of one of the greatest Montana sportsmen.

"He was just a great person, a great mind, a great asset to the game and everything he had to say about shooting, or life, it definitely sunk into me and to be honored with something like that, it's priceless. It's amazing to be honored with him or to have your name in the same sentence as Craig Finberg," Howard said Tuesday.
