Louis Michael Figueroa was in Bozeman Tuesday, one of many stops on his trip around the country.

Figueroa will walk 7,500 miles when all is said and done, starting and finishing in Tucson, Arizona. Louis is walking to help raise awareness and help to prevent child abuse across the country.

Figueroa walked from Arizona to the Jacksonville beach in Florida where he put his feet in the Atlantic Ocean. From there he went up the eastern seaboard to Washington D.C, across Pennsylvania and the Midwest to Montana. From Bozeman he will go to Helena, then Missoula, where he will take I-90 all the way to Seattle, where he will place his feet in the Pacific Ocean.

If everything goes according to plan, Figueroa says he plans to be back home in Tucson on Dec. 12.
