CODY, WYOMING - A man is in stable condition after he was attacked by a grizzly bear at around 6:30 a.m. on Thursday.
The attack happened on the man's property along South Fork Road near Cody.
The grizzly approached the man while he was working on his irrigation system.
The man was able to escape the attack and make his way home to call for help.
At this time, the Wyoming Game & Fish Department is searching for the bear.
Once it is found, the agency will determine if the bear has a history of attacks.
The U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service will also assist in the investigation.
According to Regional Wildlife Supervisor Alan Osterland, they were able to confirm it was a grizzly bear based on the man's injuries and evidence found at the scene of the attack.
