Long-time BSB Health Department employee gets job back

A long-time employee of the Butte-Silver Bow Health Department will soon return to work as manager of Prevention Services after it was announced earlier this week that he was losing his job.

Dan Haffey will be back on the job at the Butte-Silver Bow Health Department sometime next week, Director of Human Resources for Butte-Silver Bow Lindsey Ide said.

Haffey is known for his efforts to prevent underage drinking and driving.  He says he was notified that his job was terminated Monday morning.  No information was given as to what led to the decision.

A long-time employee of the Butte-Silver Bow Health Department says he was released from his job Monday morning. 

Dan Haffey was the Director of Prevention Services for the health department and is also known for efforts to prevent underage drinking and driving.  Haffey said he was notified Monday morning by Butte-Silver Bow Health Officer Terri Hocking that he was released from his job.

No further information was given as to what led to the firing and Hocking says she cannot comment on the case.
