Lady Cats gear up for Sacramento State

The Montana State University Lady Cats will tip off at 4:30 p.m. Thursday in the Big Sky Tournament.

The Cats will play a team that is deadly from the three point line. The Sacramento State Lady Hornets had the conference's best performance of the year when they played the Lady Griz, hitting 15 3-pointers en route to a triple digit scoring night. But MSU came into town two nights later and handled that three ball threat to pull out a road win.

MSU head coach Tricia Binford says the three point play may be the key to this game.

"If we can defend the three, which is their major strength, and they're not shooting extremely well from there, now they're settling for two point made baskets and from our end. I feel like you need to attack that press and for us there is going to be open threes on the other end, and those are really good shot selections for us and if we knock down a few, that's going to be great for us," Binford said.
