Some shakeups are rattling the ranks of the Montana State University offense.
This one involves another redshirt freshman muscling in on an upperclassman. First-year running back head coach Kerry Dixon has been around the block and the ‘Cats long enough that he and Coach Rob Ash tabbed Cody Kirk to be the starting running back.
Kirk insists he won't let up despite the honor.
Also, former Butte High ironman Casey Dennehy has been elevated to starting duty for Saturday's game against Fort Lewis.
Dennehy has had to overcome numerous position changes upon arriving in Bozeman, plus some bad luck on the injury front. With a home on the offensive line and his health on the mend, both of his bosses had high praise for the persistent Dennehy.
